Rewind Video & Arcade, the new rental store on Main, is hiring evening clerks. The store opened last month in the old Woolworth's building, with about four thousand tapes on the shelves and a row of arcade cabinets in the back.

Clerks will check out rentals, rewind returns, keep the new releases wall stocked and make change for the arcade. The owner says the most important part of the job is knowing the movies.

“Must love movies,” the listing says. “Must stay until close.”

Each clerk gets a shelf of their own for staff picks, with a handwritten card for every tape. The current picks lean toward horror, which the owner says rents best in October. Each clerk gets a shelf of their own for staff picks, with a handwritten card for every tape. Some of the shelves have cards in handwriting nobody at the store recognizes. Those tapes are always checked out.

“Must love movies. Must stay until close.”
